AXS and Veritix to Merge

Founded by Samuel Gerace and Dan Gilbert in 2006, Veritix, a leading digital ticketing platform, has just announced its plans to merge with Outbox AXS. The partnership will enable AXS to carry a major portion of the ticket servicing industry. The importance, however, lies beyond ticketing. StreamLink Launches its Integration with Thompson Information

StreamLink Software, provider of grant management software, has announced their recent integration with Thompson Information, a company that offers compliance information on grants and grants management, among other areas. The assimilation of these groups is advantageous as it both enables grantees to remain compliant with new regulations and “develops data-centric grant management processes.”

Juventas Therapeutics Presents Phase-2 Data

After a twelve month Phase-2 trial, JVS-100, a DNA plasmid gene therapy developed by Juventas Therapeutics, results indicate that a single administration of the therapy “improves cardiac structure, function, serum biomarkers, and clinical status in patients with severe ischemic heart failure one year after treatment.” In further trials, Juventas plans to test and assess whether a second administration of JVS-100 will further accentuate these observed positive results. TechPint Names DecisionDesk ‘Startup of the Year’

TechPint Startup Awards emerged after a poll went viral, asking people to vote on Northeast Ohio’s “most interesting startup.” Recipients of the awards at the Summit were chosen by startup founders throughout the Northeast Ohio region.

In addition to being named ‘Startup of the Year,’ DecisionDesk was also named ‘Best Growth Startup’ based on their efforts to drive revenue.

Pinterest marketing partner, Ahalogy, raises $8M

Ahalogy, raises $8M from Silicon Valley Bank, JobsOhio, and existing investors. The company provides software to publishers and marketers to help them manage their presence on Pinterest. Customers include over 1000 companies, including Procter & Gamble, Kraft, Hallmark, Kellogg’s and Peps. The announcement of this funding also means new hires for Ahalogy – Marc Cousineau, former director of engineering at Netflix, as Senior VP of engineering and Chris Lobdell, formerly of adtech startup DataXu, as chief revenue officer, in addition to recent hire of Karim Ansari, Pinterest’s first head of M&A, current principal at Greycroft Partners, to lead the company’s acquisition strategy. Juventas Therapeutics Raises $13.5 Million

Juventas Therapeutics, Inc., announced today the company secured $13.5 million in funding “to lay the groundwork for the initiation of multiple Phase 2b clinical studies. [The Company’s] upcoming studies will evaluate JVS-100 for the treatment of patients with chronic heart failure and late stage peripheral artery disease, two indications with limited therapeutic options,” stated Rahul Ara, Ph.D, President and CEO of Juventas. The capital includes $7.5 M in series B-2 equity led by Green Cross Holding and POSCO Capital, and $6M debt financing from Oxford Finance LLC.
